Nationally Accredited First Aid
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.
The unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
AUSactive requires that for any First aid to be accepted it must be nationally accredited/recognised.
To check if your First Aid is nationally accredited/recognised and in line it must state with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies. The certificate must state the appropriate code found below.

Nationally Accredited CPR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
This unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

Accepted Codes
HLTAID009 is recognised as valid for one year from completion.

Completed CPR and/or First Aid in New Zealand?
AUSactive also recognises New Zealand’s First Aid (6042/6401) qualification for up to 2 years from the date of completion for registration.
