AUSactive Registered Professionals can obtain CPDs for engaging in a formal mentoring agreement, after completion of the free iLearn Mentor Education Webinar. Both the mentor and mentee are eligible for CPDs.

Mentor requirements to attain CPDs:

• Completion of the free iLearn Mentor Education Webinar (1 CPD)
• Must be registered with AUSactive as a Level 2 or 3 RPP, RYP or REP
• The mentee must be a professional whose goals lie within their relevant Scope of Practice
• Keep written documentation of all mentoring sessions as listed under mentor requirements

Mentee requirements to attain CPDs:

• Completion of the free iLearn Mentor Education Webinar (1 CPD)
• Must be registered with AUSactive
• Mentor must have at least 5 years’ experience in the area they are mentoring and relevant qualifications
• Keep written documentation of all mentoring sessions as listed under mentor requirements

CPDs applicable:

Professional Mentoring:

Maximum CPD claimable over 2 years

• 1 CPD point per hour

• Level 2 – 10 CPD points

• Level 3 – 16 CPD points

Student Mentoring: 

Maximum CPD claimable over 2 years

• 1 CPD point per 2-hours

• Level 2 – 10 CPD points

• Level 3 – 16 CPD points

Mentee: 

Maximum CPD claimable over 2 years

• 1 CPD point per hour

• Level 1 & Level 2 – 10 CPD points

• Level 3 – 16 CPD points

An email or letter must be provided by the AUSactive Professional that includes the following information:

• Goals and session outcomes. All sessions must cover skills and knowledge that lie within the relevant Scope of Practice of and abide by AUSactive’s Code of Ethical Conduct.
• A completed table of activities, outcomes, dates, hours, reflection from mentee, and further recommendations from mentor
• Signed confirmation by the mentor and mentee
