How secure is my personal information?

AUSactive takes reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information is protected from misuse, loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
AUSactive personnel are trained to treat member and other customer information with the utmost confidentiality.

What information does AUSactive keep on me?

The type of personal information that AUSactive collects about you depends on the transactions you undertake with the organisation. For example we will collect personal information from you if you:
  1. Register with AUSactive as an AUSactive Professional or Business
  2. Register for continuing professional development activities
  3. Subscribe to our eNews or eJournal publications
  4. Register for an event
  5. Advertise with us
Generally speaking, the purpose of collection and the minimum information you need to provide, will be conveyed to you at the time of collection. Not all of your information will be publicly visible. If you choose not to provide the personal information requested, AUSactive may not be able to provide you with the products/services you require.

What do you use my private information for?

Your personal information may be used to:
  1. Fulfill our functions as the peak body of the industry
  2. Provide the products and services you have requested
  3. Administer and manage service offerings, including charging, billing and collecting debts
  4. Research and development AUSactive’s service offerings
  5. Maintain registration and membership records
  6. Gain an understanding of your information and communication needs to provide you with a better service
  7. Provide access to information about current and future services and benefits offerings
  8. Conduct research and surveys to identify and analyse the ongoing needs of members and the industry
  9. Provide AUSactive partners with information so that they may contact you in relation to their service offerings

Who can see my private information?

AUSactive may disclose your personal information to third party organisations, which may include:
  1. External service providers to whom AUSactive has contracted out functions, such as printers, mailing houses, advertising agencies, but only for the purpose of providing the service AUSactive has contracted out
  2. Member Benefits + partners
  3. Government and regulatory authorities and other organisations, as required or authorised by law
  4. AUSactive’s professional advisers
